Concierto in Pavones

HOLA:)

Concierto en Pavones - This week the Senior missionary couple gave a beautiful concert in the capilla where the temple is and we were able to take Kent and Valentin with us. It was Valentin´s first time at the temple and he absolutely loved it. The whole time we were there he just kept saying "Gracias, gracias, thank you, mucho" it was so cute!

Valentin - is doing better everyday. He has already reached Heleman in the book of mormon. This week we had a lesson with him and Two romanian members from the ward and they helped him a ton. It was good for him to just be able to talk about what he feels and the questions that he has a hard time putting into words. We also had a fast for him this week. We´re really focusing on helping him learn spanish and getting his paperwork figured out so that he can find a job.

Ricardo - This week we went to a birthday celebration for a recent convert ricardo. The week before we had left with them the movie "How rare a possesion" so that they could watch it. And when we arrived they put the movie on. So when all of the other guests arrived they also got to watch the movie about the book of mormon. We were able to talk to quite a few of them about the gospel and get the referance of a Ricardo´s cousin who was really interested in seeing the movie about Joseph smith. It was an awesome unexpected experience! (we also made PB&J sandwiches to share with everyone at the party and they were a hit.... who know that the PB&J sandwich would ever be the exotic item to try.)

Los Wilder - Wilder and Monica got married! We took them a picture of the Madrid temple as a wedding gift. At church on Sundy Monica was just so happy. Wilder will be getting baptised the week after general conferance:)

"So Carlos and Valentin know each other a bit. They´ve both been to Noche de Hogar together and church and everything, and we´ve had lessons with both of them there, so they´re starting to become friends. It´s cute because Carlos just really wants to help Valentin out. He´s always coming up with ideas that we could do with him. Once, this was his idea- "So I have a group of gays (I think he meant a group of friends that were all gay. But that´s how he phrased it). So what if we had them run an auction so that everybody could bring all their stuff and sell it and then all that money could go to buying Valentin a costume! Then he could wear the costume in Reterio Park and everybody could give him money and that could be his job.".... Seriously have no idea how he strung all those thoughts together into one grand service idea, but that is basically Carlos in a nutshell. So the other day I guess Carlos was on the street and ordered some churros and coffee (a really common thing to eat here). He went to eat it and then remembered that he couldn´t, in fact, drink coffee, and was super bummed but was being loyal to God so he stuck with his guns and didn´t drink it. Then, he looked down the street and just happened to see Valentin, sitting on a bench. So he thought to himself, "Hey, I have a chance to help him out!" because Carlos is a bit of a sweetheart. So he gave Valentin the coffee and walked away. Then Valentin, also living the Word of Wisdom and being loyal to God, just kind of sat there and stared at the coffee and eventually, once Carlos was out of sight, just threw it away. They told us the story together and we were laughing so hard. Our two cute investigators, being so faithful and so kind and so confused.. I love it.

Kent is also doing super good! We had major bonding moments with him at the concert last night. He is a really spiritual guy and tells everyone that he´s a Mormon, apparently. We´re going to work on getting him baptized. He´s been going to Church for years and has been through tons of sets of Hermanas. It sounds weird that he´s not a member yet, but if you knew Kent, it would make sense. Yesterday he was doing pull ups in the the metro and proceeded to get stuck in the doors because he tried to get out too late. He´s a 25 year old in a 48 year old´s body, so commitments are a bit hard for him. But it´s going to happen!"

This week has been very trying and hard

Hola a todos,

This week has been very trying and hard, but has turned out to be very miraculous as well as full of blessings. I know without a doubt that God is aware of us and that he hears our pleads and our prayers. All we need to do is trust Him and follow His son, Jesus Christ, with all of our heart, might, mind and srength, and He will lead us and help us.

Valentin - Was the main source of both the trials and the miracles. For various reasons I would only like to share a few of the miracles. We have been trying to find a book of mormon in Romanian which has been a struggle... but this sunday at church two of the members brought Romanian book of mormons... so we went from having none to more than enough. Valentin was SO happy. We all almost cried watching his reaction to recieving it. He´s been reading it non-stop since he got it yesterday. This week he was also able to recieve a priesthood blessing which helped us all increase our faith and feel more peace about all of the trials and opposition we are facing. Everyday we learn a little bit more about Valentin. He said before he met us his life was dark, but now he nows that God has a plan for him. So keep praying. God is listening.

Carlos - Carlos is doing fantastic! We are teaching him the commandments and he is really trying to keep them. He´s been doing especially well with the word of wisdom. He said that at school his friends all were getting coffee and he told them he just wanted hot chocolate. Even though they all were laughing at him He still did it. He´s awesome!

Ricardo - He is a recent convert that was really struggling, but in these past few weeks we have seen so much progress with him! He has started coming back to church every sunday and coming to noche de hogar saturday nights:)

Los Wilder - This week Wilder Padre and Monica are getting married! Then the week after general conferance I believe we´ll be having the baptism:) We´re all very happy. (Even Wilder Hijo came to church this week!!)

Welp, I LOVE THE MISSION. And I´m so happy. God is teaching me and changing me so much through the people we´re working with and meeting, and the experiences we´re having with them. Just keep up the prayers.

Con mucho amor,
Hermana Fuller
