This week we were also blessed with an amazing miracle

The Ward

Hola a Todos:)

This past week was the last week of the transfer. I cannot believe that another 6 weeks has just flown by. My companion and I are staying together which makes us both very happy. Half of our district did get changed though. They took out a set of Elders and so now we are 1 companionship of sisters and 2 of elders. Also, I still have yet to confirm this, but I have heard that I am the new Sister Training Leader this transfer... so we´ll see!

This transfer also ended very similar to the last one... With the "Iron Rod" Activity. I told my district how we did that in my last area and they also liked the idea, so we decided to to it here. It went super well and we had two new investigators come!

Drago - Drago is a man from Romania that come to fix some water problems that we had in our apartment. Before He could leave we asked him if he would be interested in meeting with us sometime and talking more about the gospel. I told us he was actually really interested so we took down his number and invited him to come to the activity.... and He came! And after the activity we were able to give him a book of mormon, so we´re excited to see what will happen with him.

María Jesus - María Jesus is a Spanish Women that goes to an evangelist church. She has to work a lot so she can only meet with us on saturday evenings... right when we had the activity! We invited her to come and she absolutely loved it. She told us that she loves the bible but now she is really really interested in reading the book of mormon. She also told us that she had been debating about whether or not to come to the activity but that she is so happy that she did. yesterday she also saw the Elders on the street and she thanked them and told them she loved the activity!

This week we were also blessed with an amazing miracle. Mirta is a new investigator that has a 12 year old daughter that is a member. We were only meeting her for the second time and about halfway through the lesson she asked us if she could be baptized!!!! She is a really amazing lady and so prepared to recieve the gospel. As we were teaching her I kept having the thought that her daughter has been praying. So keep praying! God heres and answers our prayers and He can prepare the people we love to recieve this message! And also pray that Mirta´s boss will let her come to church on sundays!

A really cool service opportunity. Right now we are helping this adorable brasilian girl, Sandra, learn english by reading the book of mormon. The last lesson we had she was telling us about a second hand store in our area that donates all the money they make to help people with a certain disease (I can´t remember what) anyways, my companion and I went over there this morning and we talked to the lady about volunteering over there. This week we are going to start helping out over there and our friend Sandra also wants to come. We have been praying to find service opportunities so we´re really excited about this one.

About the Fam... I´m so happy Dad´s business is going well! I´ll pray that it can continue to do so. I sent Bowen a story from a Liahona that we share a lot in lessons with members and family home evenings. He just needs to pray, read (both the scriptures and preach my gospel), and share the gospel through his example. He´ll be great:) I´m also praying for him and his basketball. I´m so excited for you about Hawaii! When do you leave? And mom I loved your lessons in Laurels, I always felt the spirit and all the girls loved you. We all also loved the effort and time you put into it, such as with the cute boxes and pictures. And that is so cool! I didn´t know that Dad was blessed with the gift of healing! you know there´s got to be a reason for that! I am so grateful for the priesthood, I know it is the power of God. I´m so happy you´ve been able to go to the temple every week. I want to join you when I get back. My stomach has gotten better this week. Instead of eating yogurt, cereal, or bread for breakfast I´ve just been eating fruit and green drinks and that has really helped me out I think. Also could you send me the recipe for that lemon cake you make? and everything you sent me made it here perfectly. I am really grateful for those oils!

And Ps.... I turn 11 months tomorrow!!!! wow.

Love you so much!!

This month of June is called the Month of Invitation, here in Spain

MOM:)

How are you? So I asked the same question to Dad, but what did those missionaries talk about exactly? How was it eating with the sister missionaries? I miss your cooking! My stomachs been a bit terrible lately. I´m still having some problems with digestion and also gases in my stomach. Any suggestions? And wow go you and dad!!! When do you leave for Hawaii? I´ll for sure think of some experiences that I´ve had and get them written down. I love that idea of a family book. I think I´d like to write a book one day.And don´t worry mom, I write everyday. It may not be a lot or very detailed but I always write something. We´ll have to make a scrapbook together!!  I´m so exciting that you are enjoying looking up the questions from general conferance!  Let me know what you learn:)

The highlight of our week... ALEXIA´S BAPTISM!!!!! It was a very beautiful experience. Her mom came and she bore her testimony. She also came to church for the first time to see Alexia be confirmed. The baptism has really united their family and we have seen miracles happening with them. Alexia loves the young women´s program and she was just glowing all during church. She also has been talking with us about how she wants to serve a mission and how she doesn´t want to have to wait 7 years (she´s only 12). Her younger sister also really wants to get baptized although she´s only 6. The gospel really does change our lifes and bless families.

Another miracle that happened this week... For the past couple of weeks we have been trying to meet with the one of the counselors in the bishopric and his wife. Yesterday we got a call from her asking if we could go help her with her visiting teaching. We went with her and she also came with us to teach another lesson. After she invited us over to her house and we were able to meet with them both! I know that no matter what it is, If we put in our effort and give God our best, He will open doors for us to accomplish his work.

This month of June is called the Month of Invitation, here in Spain. We are really encouraging all of the members to Invite others to learn about the gospel this month. Whether it be inviting someone to come to church or inviting someone to a family home evening in your home, there is something that we all can do this month to invite the people we love to come unto christ. (hey mom did anyone in our family ever have the chance to give a book of mormon to someone??) I hope that everyone can really pray and seek these missionary opportunities this month, because with them comes tremendous blessings and great joy.

Con mucho Cariño,

This week we have seen so many miracles

Mom:)

This week we have seen so many miracles. Everynight we are scribbling down a million things that happened that day to put in our happy thought jars. God has really been so good to us.

One of the highlights.... ALEXIA passed her baptismal interview! And she will be getting baptised this friday at 7:00. We had an amazing lesson yesterday with her and her younger sister and her mom. Her mom is less active and hasn´t stepped foot in a chapel here in Spain since she came here around 13 years ago, however she still has a very strong testimony of the gospel. In our lesson her mom bore her testimony and shared how she always knew that Alexia would be baptised. We were all in tears by the end of it. We have really seen a miracle take place in this family. After her baptism we are hoping to work more with them as a family to get the reactivated and one day sealed in the temple.

We have also seen another miracle with our investigator Charo. She works a lot so we are only able to see her once a week on the weekends, but since the firs time she came to church last week to or lesson on saturday, we have seen incredible change and progress. Before when we would read the book of mormon with her she would struggle with understanding one verse. Now she reads on her own and understands everything better than I think I would reading it the first time. This week she also came to church on her own and stayed the whole time! She is doing wonderfully.

We have also been working really hard recently to strengthen our relationship with the ward members and leaders. We had a family home evening with the bishop and his wife and we talked about the things we could do to help strengthen the ward. The next day after the family home evening the bishop told us he had an anouncement he needed to tell us. You see, every week all of the missionary companionships in the ward rotate eating with the bishop and his wife every thursday. He told us that the Elders were going to continue rotating every week.... but that the hermanas are not rotating, we are eating with him every week. Milagros y Bendiciones del Señor.

This week we also met with an old investigator that´s from California. He showed a lot of interested and we are really excited to start working with him. I´ve never taught an American before so I´m excited about that.

This week we also had the amazing opportunity to go to the temple. I can truly testify of the spiritual strength that the temple gives us and how through going to the temple we can become closer to God and Jesus Christ.

Study Idea:
This week I gave a talk in district meeting about Asking Questions. To prepare I looked up all of the questions that the prophets and apostles asked in the last general conferance and I really learned a lot from what I found.

So I haven´t gotten the package yet but I´ll be hoping it will come this week. I don´t have much time left today but thank you for everything!!

I´m feeling some miracles coming our way!

HOLA!!!!:)

Things are still going as well as ever here in Barrio 2. We are the only sisters serving here and then there are 6 elders. Right now we are trying to work with the members to strengthen the ward and to help the to have more trust in us. We live about 40 minutes away from the temple and actually we went there this week for a zone conference! We also get to go there again next week to do a session. It really has got to be one of the most beautiful temples ever.

As far as Grandma and Kenyra, I understand if you have to vent. You, Kahana, and I will have to make a pact to never do that, deal? Okay. I would just say just really seek the help of the spirit to know what you should do and say to help them. Cool news, one of my teachers from the mtc is a member of our ward!! (I´ll take a picture to send to you) but anyways she made an awesome comment in relief society that I loved "A prayer of faith requieres action." So just go to the Lord with a prayer of faith and I know He will show you what to do. (2 Nephi 32:1-3, 5).

This week we had a really awesome Zone Conference where they talked so much about the Love of God and how everything we do should driven by the love we have for God and our Saviour, Jesus Christ. The meeting was a very spiritual experience for me. I really felt the love that God has for us and that even though I am an imperfect servant, and imperfect missionary, I felt God telling me that he was going to help me overcome all of weaknesses and use me to work miracles for His children.

This week we´ve had some awesome experiences working with the youth of the ward. We brought our 12 year old recent convert Elysmey, to a lesson with our 12 year old investigator Alexia... and well, they hit it off. One Sunday Elysmey stayed with her the whole time and really helped her feel like part of the ward. She also is planning on going to youth conference now!! yay! Then we brought one of the young men to a lesson we had with our 12 year old investigator Wilder. Wilder is awesome and he really has a testimony of the gospel... he just doesn´t like to come to sacrament meeting. It really brought the spirit to the lesson when the young man bore his testimony of why he goes to church and the blessing it is for him to be able to pass the sacrament. It doesn´t matter your age, every member is a missionary! Youth are the best!

One cheesy sister missionary thing that we did this week: In order to help us focus on our blessings, my companion and I made "Happy-Thought Jars." (The primary president blood I have in my veins has surfaced yet again.) We made three jars: one with my name, one with my companion´s name, and a third jar for other people, miracles, and tender mercies. Now every time we notice something awesome about the other person, or other people, or the tender mercies and miracles from the Lord, we write it on a little piece of paper and put it in the corresponding jar. At the end of the transfer we are going to read all of them.:)

Everything is going great over here:) and I´m feeling some miracles coming our way!

TE QUIERO MUCHÍSIMO:)
